ABOUT  THE  SCHOOL

School day starts by having each child wash his or her hands and face, and brush their teeth. Parents are encouraged to send their children in clean clothes and in uniform. Every child is given a set of school uniforms and shoes.

School fee at Rs.50 per child is charged and in case of siblings  Rs.25. School provides books and writing material. Also provided to each child is a school bag.

Presently, there are 155 children in classes ranging from nursery to class 5. There are eight teachers from the same community who have been given training sessions by teacher trainer.

Children are admitted in a class based on their level of basic understanding and learning skills. 

      Admitted at four years  and onwards for  those who

      never even got a chance to avail this opportunity.

Children are taken for excursions to places of their interests such as the zoo, parks etc. so that they can feel cared for.

A doctor  visits the school for time to time monitoring  the children’s health and identify any health issues at an early  age. In case of an emergency treatment, even surgeries have been carried out  free of charge.

Sports like cricket, football, badminton etc. are a part of the school activities for both boys and girls.

Mashal Model School follows the National Book Foundation curriculum.

The school aims to teach children tolerance when they are competitive, to be organized being patient and sharing for which different activities are planned.

It is hoped that once the child leaves the school he or she shall be responsible, respectable and dignified human beings, capable of contributing positively to the society.

Mashal School provides education to street children we follow the Nation Book Foundation curriculum for children who are under privileged.

Children from nursery to class - 5 are admitted who have never had the opportunity to go to school before. They have been selling shopping bags, flowers, and sweets at the Darbar since a very young age. Devoid of comfort, security, love and care and have always had to fend for themselves. There now is a school in

Bari Imam

with experienced teachers, equipped to cater for their social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs.

At present we have 150 students. Special emphasis is given to early childhood education and we have 100 children in our nursery class.
